Christmas Eve 2009

What's Addison up to lately?  Well, little Miss I Can Do Everything By Myself has been a busy girl!  She's talking, twirling, running & playing non-stop!  It's taking longer to get her dressed/undressed now that she wants to do it on her own.  She isn't very good at it yet, which means I have to add at least 20 minutes more to get ready for anything!  Twirling, she spins around so much she loses her balance & then stumbles around.  It's quite funny to watch, but not so much when she falls & gets hurt.

The potty time is going great!  We are really going to work on it after the holidays, but I'm not going to pressure her.  Right now, she goes once or twice daily.

Addy created some more artwork to put on the Christmas tree.  She used her hands & some paint to make this wreath!

Grams got this ornament for Addy this year.  She also found 2 ornaments in Florida that I've been looking for everywhere!  One is a 2009 mom-to-be ornament & the other is a 2nd Christmas ornament, both by Hallmark.

MDO Party Day

Addy's Christmas party at MDO was yesterday & we had so much fun.  I stayed & attended Bible study with her & then we opened gifts & ate cake, etc.  They don't go back to MDO until 2010.

Arts & Crafts

Addy LOVES playing on the computer!  Maybe I should give her a dust cloth & have her clean underneath the keyboard!  I've definitely been slacking with the house cleaning.

No, it wasn't raining this day, but that NEVER stops her from wearing her rain hat!

Tuesday, we went to our playgroup & did various crafts.  This reindeer was the outcome of our work.

Addison colored this stocking at MDO.  It's a masterpiece!

The play area in our living room needed better organization (until I get a playroom), so I went to Target & got this cute toy organizer!  Now we can see ALL the toys & none get lost in the bottom of a pile!

Continuation for earlier post

I didn't have time to blog this morning.  Just had enough time to post the pictures of our little embryo!

The dr visit this morning was great!  This pregnancy is just as exciting as the first.  Seeing our little one during the ultrasound & hearing/seeing the heartbeat was just like the first time all over again!  The baby is measuring 8 weeks & 5 days which puts the due date for July 17, 2010 (the day after my birthday)!  What an awesome birthday present!  I was really impressed by the ultrasound room!  Instead of having to twist & strain your neck to see the screen there was a flat screen tv hanging on the wall.  Our view was perfect!

Pretty socks

I expected blood work today, but this practice waits until 16 weeks for all the tests, unless something is wrong.  Fine with me!  I'm not excited about needles anyway :)

Happy Anniversary to us!

This morning we FINALLY got to see the baby!  Everything looks great!

Our Little Secret 11/19/09

I am blogging about this, but won't publish it for another week or so.

Over the past couple of weeks I've taken 8 pregnancy tests!  Yes, EIGHT!  The look on the guy's face at the Dollar Tree when I asked for 10 tests was priceless.  All 8 that I've taken have been positive, but remember our false positive back in September?  Anyway, we wanted to be 100% certain this time before sharing the news.  Yesterday, I went to the dr & got the confirmation needed!  I'M PREGNANT!  My first official OB appoint is in 2 weeks.  My due date estimate is July 22.  Our family already has 6 birthdays in July, so I think we will take bets on who's special day the baby will be born!

Morning sickness hit me hard today for the first time (I'm only 5 weeks).  When I was pregnant with Addison, I never really had much morning sickness.  Now this time around the last thing I need is to be sick while trying to care for a toddler!  I'm not sure if I can wait 2 weeks for my first appointment, so I may call the dr Monday to see about some meds to ease the nausea.

11/24/09
Addison would be an only child if I had been this sick when I was pregnant with her.  This morning sickness, all-day sickness, middle-of-the-night sickness HAS GOT TO GO!  I guess this is what I get for having such a wonderful pregnancy last time.  Come on 12 weeks!  That is when the sickness should subside. EWWWW  I called the dr yesterday & they suggested Emetrol for the nausea.  So, I got that along with Sea Bands & Sea Band Ginger Gum.  The gum is disgusting.  It made me want to throw up more!  I've also boiled ginger root & made tea, but it's all NASTY!

12/1/09
So, we were very excited for December 1 to arrive & go to the first OB appointment.  About an hour before the appt the nurse called to say the doctor was in surgery & my appt needed to be rescheduled. UGH!  Now we have to wait another week!
