Hoda & Kathie Lee

I watch Hoda & Kathie Lee almost every morning while Addison is napping. During the hour they show their favorite pictures that people have sent into the website. Earlier this week I tried to upload a picture of Addison to Hoda & Kathie Lee's Facebook page. I kept getting an error message (album was full), so I went to their official website & uploaded a picture of Addison. The terms stated if NBC chose to use the picture I would be contacted, yada, yada. Well, this morning when they were getting ready to show the pictures, I mentioned to Blake that I sent Addy's picture to them! I told him that I haven't gotten an email or phone call, so that meant they didn't pick her :( OMG - SHE WAS THE FIRST PICTURE SHOWN right after those words came out of my mouth!

Park Day

I took Addison to the park today since the weather was so nice. She loves the swing & watching the other children play.

 

 

 

 

After the park we decided to do a little shopping. Addy got a Boo Bunnie for Boo-Boo's! It's an ice pack disguised as a bunny & gives the child something to hold without freezing the little fingers. I'm sure it will be very useful when she starts taking those unassisted steps in the near future!

Addy is 10 months old today!

Our little girl will be a year old in 58 days! Eeeek! Let's see, what is Addison up to these days...
*Crawling
*Pulling up/Cruising
*Taking steps with help
*Says mama, dada & hey (babbles ALL the time)
*Loves to watch Buddy (they share toys now)
*Temper tantrums - wow, she objects LOUDLY when something is taken away from her
*I make the majority of her baby food & am continuing to breastfeed until she's at least one year old. I never ever thought I would make it this far!
*The jumperoo is about to be retired. She isn't much on being confined to one place anymore

When I'm rocking Addy at bedtime each night, I try & think about what the favorite part of that particular day was & can never come up with just one thing. This little girl brings so much joy to our lives in everything that she does. Sometimes I can't believe how lucky I am!

Water Heater Issues

Our water heater broke last night! We called the landlord & help arrived right away (8pm)! Unfortunately, the heater couldn't be fixed last night, so we've had to wait all day for the water heater man to get off his regular job to come install a new water heater for us! Finally, we have a new water heater & I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the water to get HOT!

Earlier today we went to Beaumont. One of the things I was looking for was a bath seat for Addy. I'm not talking about the infant tub, but the ring style that suctions to the bottom of the tub & she can sit securely. Why is such a simple contraption so difficult to find? Nothing at Target, Walmart, BRU! I did find one online through Amazon.com, but I want it now! We've been just putting a wash cloth in the bottom of the tub to prevent her from sliding around, but I think the bath ring will allow me to relax a little & let her enjoy her bath time. Hmmm - I should probably go ahead & order it...

Baby Legs

I can't believe that I didn't get Addison some Baby Legs a LONG time ago! Baby Legs are what grown-ups know as leg warmers, except made for babies. Addy wears them with a onesie & when she crawls on the floor her little legs don't get cold. They are a great alternative to pants & make diaper changes very easy! Ahhhh - diaper changes - have I mentioned that it's nearly impossible to change a diaper these days. Addy rolls, kicks, flops around. It's really a task!

Home

We came home from Louisiana on Sunday. It was a great visit, but we're happy to be home. When Addy saw her Crawl & Cruise Jungle she got very excited! She is cruising like a pro now! She goes from one toy or couch to another very well. I need to catch that on video today! It's so wonderful to watch her master new skills. She's even finally learned how to go to a sitting position from standing (without falling).

On Saturday we had Valentine's Day lunch at Peking with some friends. Gosh, I miss Peking!

Logan is here!

I came to Louisiana last weekend to await the arrival of my GREAT nephew! Aimee (my niece) was due Feb 12 & I wanted to make sure that I was here! On Monday we went & got pedicures (well deserved)! I got my traditional red with a little bling on the big toes & she got a pretty blue with bling also. Later on we went to Monroe to pick up her glider for the nursery. She was feeling like the typical 39 week pregnant lady (not that I know how that feels - just guessing) & cute as a bug!

Yesterday morning her labor slowly started & didn't start progessing until late last night. Logan Nathaniel was born at 2:27am & weighs 5lbs 15oz & 19.5 inches long. He is a beautiful little boy with big eyes & a ton of hair! Aimee & Logan are both doing wonderful. Addison met Logan today & wasn't too interested. I will post pics very soon!

Update on the Tdap vaccine

I saw the dr today & he said the pain/swelling, etc is a localized allergic reaction from the Tdap vaccine that I got last Sunday. He prescribed some cream to apply to my arm & said I'm going to live :)

First, I would like to thank Shari for pointing out the Chase ATM technology isn't as 'new' as I thought it was!

SOCKS
Yesterday, we went on a hunt for Addy some socks. The Carter's Kick-Proof socks she has been wearing are now too tight around on her chunky legs. We found more of those, but they don't make them in a bigger size. We had gotten a few suggestions for other brands, so we ended up getting some from Target, Old Navy & Gymboree. I am sad to report that NONE will stay on her feet like the Carter's brand! Not sure where we go from here...
Phone
I finally decided it was time to upgrade my Blackjack cell phone to an iPhone while we were at the mall. So far, so good! It's NOTHING like the Blackjack, so it will take some time to learn all the cool features, etc.

Sunday Superbowl & Shot Day
We made it to CVS Minute Clinic today for our Tdap vaccination. It's only been 2 hours & my arm is ALREADY sore!
