3 months old & Roadtrip

Addison turned 3 months old last Thursday! Yikes! She wasn't very photogenic that day, so there are only a few pics of her with a happy face :)

Friday morning Addison had her follow-up PKU test at St. Francis. She learned how to suck her thumb right after they pricked her little heel. It is so funny to watch her now when she is trying so hard to just get her thumb in her mouth, but the whole hand is in the way! lol

Friday we came to Port Arthur, Texas to see Blake's parents. Addison was fantastic on the way here. We only had to stop once because she had a little meltdown. It's a 5ish hour trip, so it was understandable. Here are a few pics. We will be going home this afternoon, so I will post more later.

Back at work

Well, I returned to work this past Thursday. It wasn't nearly as heartbreaking as I thought it would be. Addison was in a great mood both mornings, which made it easier for me to leave her at Ms Ginger's house. Work is going to take some additional time to adjust. It's very hard to concentrate when all you think about is your baby :) But I know everything will get back to semi-normal soon.

Look at what I did :) It isn't perfect, but I will keep practicing!

Busy Day

This morning I did a run through of my routine in preparation for Thursday. I got up at 5:30 to get started. Luckily, Addy stayed asleep while I got ready. When I finished she was waking up, so I went ahead & fed her (daycare requires baby has first meal of the day at home). I pumped, got her dressed & loaded her into the truck. We made it out the door at 7:08 (my goal was 6:50-7:00). So, Thursday I will just need to speed up a task or two (or get up a few minutes early -UGH).

Later in the day we went to Chase & by to see Ms Ginger. A co-worker got me a box of Kleenex with Addy's picture on it! I will take a pic & post later. It's SO cute! Thanks Casey! That was very thoughtful of you :)

Photoshoot yesterday

Yesterday we visited our favorite Two Suez photographer - Katie May! Addison was adorable in her little pink tutu. Blake decided to add a prop for the LSU pictures! I was a little unsure about it, but once seeing everything come together - IT'S HILARIOUS! We even got in on a couple of pics this time. I was hoping to get more smiles, but Addison mostly looked like a deer caught in headlights. Still SO cute though :) Can't wait to share!

Tummy Time Milestone

Of all times not to have the camera on Addison........We were doing tummy time on her playmat & she rolled from her tummy to her back! Way to go Addy!!

Bottle update & more!

I finally found a bottle that appeals to Addison. It was the last bottle I picked & the cheapest of all. I only had to use the white grape juice once & after that she did great! Now I have her taking the Playtex Nurser Drop-Ins. These will be the ones that I send to daycare with her next week *GASP*! Less mess involved with the drop-ins. She is also enjoying her Soothie pacifier again. I guess she just needed a little nudge to break the habit of nursing 24/7.

Over the weekend Addison learned how to squeal & also how to scream while crying. She is cooing so much. Especially in the mornings when she wakes up. I think she is a morning person.

We are going to visit Ms Ginger today just to get a better feel for the environment. Hopefully, this will help me & Addy both with the transition next Thursday.
