It Happened

We are now the owners of a nebulizer for Addy's breathing treatments.   I woke this morning & looked at my list of things to-do today with confidence everything would get done.  THEN Addy woke up....lethargic, coughing, wheezing.  Back to the dr we go.  We were in & out in 30 minutes & Addy was great.  Probably because she didn't feel good & didn't have the energy to put up a fight with Dr. N :)  She's very congested & must do breathing treatments 4 - 6 times daily.  The first treatment was a success!

After Addy checked the mail yesterday, she was very interested in what Sports Illustrated had to say about our Saints.

Remember how I said she loves taking her clothes off & putting them back on again.  This is the end result!  Hey, at least they are just inside out & not backwards too :)

Sick Updates

Addison & I are slowly recovering from being sick ALL week.  I had to get a new cough medicine for her, since the cough got worse.  It seems to be working fine.  Last night, was the first night that we both slept through the night.  I'm still a bit concerned about her appetite.  She is only eating a couple of bites throughout the day, but still drinking normal.  Blake has started to come down with something now!  Guess it was only a matter of time.

Addison's new favorite thing to do is taking her clothes, including diaper, and streaking!  She has gotten really good at putting clothes on & then taking them off again!

Yesterday, I caught her gnawing on her crib instead of napping!  I'm sure there will be many more marks added before it's converted to a toddler bed then full bed!  These marks add character & makes it antique (right?)!

I booked our appointment for maternity pictures!  TwoSuez will be doing the pics again & we are so excited!  Katie May is AWESOME!  She did our last maternity pics, Addison's newborn & 3 month pics.  Then.....we moved.  BOOOOOOO

                            

                            

                                      

      
                                      

Sick Baby

Addison woke up this morning with a cough that sounded a lot like croup.  She's been cranky lately, but I just thought it was teething.  After she wouldn't eat her breakfast, I even tried to feed her a brownie, I decided to call the dr.  I really like the new pediatrician.  The wait time was a little long, but worth it!  The staff & doctor were awesome.  Turns out Addy has an ear infection & early stage croup.  Luckily, we caught both in time before she got really uncomfortable.  Addy has 3 prescriptions (steroid, antibiotic, cough).  When she wakes from her nap we will start the first dose.  She weighs 26.12lbs & is 31 1/2 inches tall!

Tomorrow we had plans to go to Baton Rouge for Avery's 2nd birthday party at Chuck E Cheese.  Needless to say, those plans have been cancelled now.

I think I hear someone waking up... time for medicine!

A Day of Firsts

This morning I went to the doctor for my lab work only to be told that I made my appointment too early & must come back next Thursday when I'll be 16 weeks.  That went over like a lead balloon.  I didn't pick the date!  The DOCTOR told me at my last appointment to come back in 2 weeks for labs!  UGH  Strike 2 for this OB practice.

Addison & I made brownies today!

I was supposed to bake chicken for dinner, but things didn't go as planned! (Translation - I was lazy & didn't feel like cooking)  So, we had Taco Bell!  I'm usually not a fan of Taco Bell, but something about being pregnant makes me crave that disgusting food!  Addison at Taco Bell for the first time tonight.  Mexican Pizza!  We tried to give her bites of other things like my soft taco or a burrito, but she was drawn to the pizza box!

Kindermusik

This morning our playgroup met at  Kindermusik.  The director held a class just for us to try out & see if we liked it, etc.  Our class was 'Family Time' & frankly it was pretty lame.  We could have just sat around on the floor in my living room & talked to each other while the babies played.  Maybe we just had a bad experience.  Obviously, the program is very popular or else they couldn't stay in business.  I dunno...

Okay, I checked back in some old blogs to see how much weight I gained in the first trimester with Addison.  7lbs!  The second trimester I gained 17lbs.  After that, I stopped tracking :)  LOL  It ended up being around 50lbs total the day of delivery!  I sure do look like I've gained more than ONE pound so far this time!

Grapes & Stuff

Addison ate grapes for the first time today!  I've offered them in the past, but she never accepted.   It may just be that they feel good on her sore gums.  These dang cuspids are wearing us ALL out!  Thank goodness we just have the 2nd year molars left to come through & the worst will be behind us in the teething department!

Other than being unbelievably tired,  I've been feeling pretty good lately.  Well, there are days (like yesterday) where I'm just an emotional, cranky mess.  Poor Blake!  I've also traded morning sickness for pregnancy rhinitis!  I don't remember it being this bad when I was pregnant with Addison.  The congestion is worse at night even with the neti-pot & humidifier.

Yesterday, we went to Maggie's 2nd birthday party.  I'm kicking myself for not taking any pictures!  Maggie got a new baby brother as an early birthday present.  He was born Jan 11 & weighed 9lbs 5oz.  I was expecting him to be bigger when I saw him, but he's just an itty bitty beautiful baby boy!
