Child Labor

Every single day when Blake comes home from work, Addison grabs his hand & walks him to the bedroom to change clothes.  This is their routine & NOTHING stands in the way!  Blake now has Addison carrying his clothes to the laundry room!  She looks like she is on a mission & she means BUSINESS!

Addison's MDO class made these last week!  I'm not sure what was going on with her the day this picture was taken, but she obviously wasn't about to smile!

I took some pictures of Addy in her Christmas dress & now I want to use some of these for our photocards!  Problem is, I've already ordered & received 50 photocards to use as Christmas cards!  BOOOOOO!  I really like these pics better than the other one I choose.  Maybe I can justify ordering 50 more IF I can find a great deal like I did on the others.

Ramblings

Our weekend was supposed to be filled with visiting family & Parker's FIRST birthday party, but our plans changed suddenly.  Another story for another time...

Addy woke from her nap the other day, but decided that she needed more sleep!  This is only the 2nd time that she has fell asleep in a random spot!  The first was her highchair over the summer.

The Dora Play Hut has been money well-spent.  She enjoys it so much!  Buddy does also!  Last night he went to sleep in the hut!

I made deviled eggs for B's Thanksgiving work lunch.

I subbed Addy's MDO class for a few hours yesterday morning.  It was so much fun.  On Friday's, the children have Bible study.  Luckily, the nursery is very close to the chapel, so we didn't have to go very far when it was time.  The girls all lined up at the door & knew exactly where to go & what to do!  I was impressed.  For some reason I was nervous about handling all of them.  Bibly study was only about 15 minutes and they had the best time.  This is Addy's MDO class.  There are 5 girls & 1 boy (the boy was absent).

This is a sign at the Walmart back home!

My spelling isn't perfect, but I know how to use spellcheck if I'm doing something job-related!

Here are some pics from our fall photoshoot that was done in October:

Addy's Dora Play Hut

Addison really needed a new toy *cough*cough*!  So, off to Target we go.  I was in search of something that could be used inside & outside the house.  We finally came across some cute little play houses.  The moment Addy saw Dora & started yelling "Dor, Dor", I knew we were taking THIS home.

She thinks it's hilarious when Buddy & I get in the house with her!  It's a tight fit, but SO much fun!

Recovering from croup

Addy has done pretty well this week during the day, but the nights have been rough.  Last night was our first peaceful night.  This morning we went to the pediatrician for a follow-up.  Before the appointment, I told Addy that we were going to see Dr. B & she shook her head 'no'.  Hmmm...does she really understand what I'm saying.  Well, when we got to the office, I knew she FULLY understood that she MEANT 'NO' to seeing Dr. B.  She starting screaming & clawing at me to get back out the door.  It was the worst experience we've ever had at the pedi!  On a good note, Dr. B said that she sounded & looked great.  He also said we should wait a week before getting the H1N1 vaccine just in case she has a relapse with croup.

Addy's First E.R. Visit

Last night we went & met friends for pizza (can't believe we didn't take any pictures).  Addy had a great time & never gave any indication something was wrong.  I woke up around 2 a.m. & noticed her breathing didn't sound right. Something was off, but I tried very hard not to panic. I went & woke up mom to tell her that something wasn't right & I was taking Addy to the E.R.  By the time we got to the hospital (45 minutes away) her breathing was much worse & she was coughing. It happened SO fast! She has croup (whatever in the hell that is), but by the end of today I'll know way too much about it from the Internet :)

Dr said croup is highly contagious & I feel just awful exposing our friends & their little ones to this virus!

The E.R. took her temp rectally, she sceamed.  The E.R. put the ID bracelet around her ankle, she screamed.  The E.R. examined her, she screamed.  The breathing treatment went much better than I thought it would.  She just sat back & chilled (see picture below).  Next came the steriod shot, she screamed.

The dr prescribed 3 medicines :(  Zithromax, Pediapred & Phenergan/Codeine Syrup.  Each one has a different dosage & it makes me SO nervous to give it all to her!  I'm keeping notes on what, when & how much I give her.  Hopefully, I won't screw this up!

I'm not sure if our trip back to Texas will be postponed now or not.  The dr said that tonight will be much worse than last night, so we may just wait an extra day before taveling.

Addy's FIRST breathing treatment (she did very well)

Addy's FIRST popsicle

Addy picking pecans with papaw

Very happy with all 13 of her pecans (12 now since Buddy decided he wanted one)

Halloween Pics, etc

I've been seriously slacking with my blog!  Sorry!  Here are some pictures until I have time to write more!

My great-nephew, Logan the Giraffe

The Monkey didn't want the Giraffe touching her!

But, the Giraffe wasn't taking NO for an answer!

He was determined to give the Monkey a kiss!

Dada to the rescue!

You stay on your side & I'll stay on mine!

Daddy & Addy
