Fall Pictures

Yesterday we drove up to the state park for Addison't professional fall pictures. The same photographer that shot her one-year pics did the fall pics too. I can't wait to see them! Although, I bet there will be more than one of Addison trying to eat one of the small pumpkins :) Here are a few pics that I took while at the park:






Addison's Build A Bear Monkey is now a girl. Memaw bought Monkey last Christmas, but we were waiting on buying clothes for Monkey until Addy was older.

Addy got a package yesterday from Grams. It was filled with goodies.














Now for my bad-parenting confession! I've created a monster by letting Addy watch The Wonder Pets. She loves this show & will protest loudly if the channel is changed. Blake has even tried to do 'picture in picture' & she still protests! I'll have to catch her on video one day.

The Insulated Cup Saga

The fridge at MDO is broken, so today I went in search of a new insulated sippy cup. Addy already has this insulated sippy, but I'm not satisfied with it. So, I found this one at Target. The package states that it will keep the contents cold & fresh for up to 12 hours. Well, Addy is only at MDO for 5 hours, so this should make me happy. NOT... I got it home & washed it then noticed that the bottom of the straw was broken. It had a little place that looked chipped. Off we go back to Target. I returned the cup & tell the clerk that it was damaged. After going back & seeing all the other cups (in blue) had the same 'defected' straw, I go back to the front desk & ask to REpurchase my pink cup. Silly me. The straw is made that way to prevent it being suctioned to the bottom of the cup! UGH. Several clerks spent 15 minutes trying to locate MY pink cup that I had JUST returned. Finally they found it in the 'damaged' bin! All of this to say, I got the cup back! Next Wednesday I'm sure MDO will have a new fridge & this was all a waste...

Addy has been trying to climb in the tub for weeks now. After her bath tonight, it was my turn. So, I turned the water on & kept telling her it was my turn & to stop trying to get in the tub. What happened? She finally CLIMBED in the tub pajamas & all! After changing her clothes I locked her out of the bathroom!

Tomorrow we are taking our fall pictures, so we had a trial run today. Here are a couple of pics:










Banana Time

I talked to my SIL, Katie, tonight & she was telling me about her pedicure she got recently. She tells me that she asked for LSU to be put on her big toes & this is what she got (please hold your laughter):

The nail tech did great on one toe, but paineted everything backwards on the other toe! She was able to half-ass fix the 'L', but couldn't fix the 'S'. Katie has been walking around with jacked up toes! She said the nail tech is really nice & didn't want to make a big deal about it! I can't stop laughing Katie! This is SO funny! By the way, yes, I had Katie's permission to post this picture & talk about her pedicure.

Climbing

I don't think she will ever stop climbing. Addison has one cabinet & one drawer in the bathroom that she can use to play or hide things. I never thought she would CLIMB in the cabinet!

Pizza Time

Here are pics from our first attempt at making pizza! It was a bit messy, but we managed to put together an edible & decent looking pizza!

Lower First Molars

One of Addison's lower first molars is peeking through today! I'm going to blame her lack of naps on the molars! Yesterday, she didn't nap AT ALL, but last night slept from 7 - 7. Today, she took a 30 minute disco nap, but is clearly still tired!

The Weekend

Friday morning Addison was excited to wave hello to the lady across the street working in the yard. (Thanks for the shoes Avery! They fit perfect.)

In case you noticed what appears to be a portable DVD played on the seat headrest...it is. We are still using it while Addison is rear-facing. Once she turns forward-facing we will be able to use the DVD player that came in the van.

Addison loves drinking dada's water! Even though she always has access to her sippy of water it just isn't the same.

She also loves standing on the couch. We are working on this bad habit!

Friday evening we went to Winnie to the Texas Rice Festival. I didn't see any rice, but there was plenty of amusement rides, food, music & people. Addy isn't big enough get on the rides, but she enjoyed watching everything.
This is the ONLY picture I took! What the heck was I thinking?

Saturday we visited friends & watched the LSU game. Blake carved up the steaks & they were delicious as always! I love Dale's Steak Seasoning! I've decided that a steak isn't a good steak unless it has Dale's!

I can't believe this LSU onesie still fits her! It's a size 12 month, but I guess runs a little big.

I packed up most of her 12-18 month summer clothes yesterday. I had to make room for all the cute fall clothes that I bought her last week!
