Snow Day

Addy & I both have colds right now :( She isn't running a fever, so we are delaying the doctor visit for now. This morning when Blake got up for work he came around to my side of the bed to tell me good morning. He saw all of the snotty tissue on the floor & jokingly said "Oh wow, it snowed". For some reason he went & looked out the window & was very shocked to see that IT REALLY DID SNOW!!!!

Memaw bought Addy her first Build A Bear monkey. It was fun to watch Addy even though she didn't really grasp what was going on while creating the monkey.

Home Again

Addy & I are back from our trip to Louisiana. My mom came half way & picked us up last Sunday. We had a great visit.

Monday - Saw my niece Aimee & her husband DK. Aimee is such a cutie with her little belly. She is having a baby boy & is due in February. My mom will be a GREAT-grandmother & I will be a GREAT aunt! Yikes :) LOL - my sis will be a grandma!
Tuesday - went & spent some time with Erin & Parker. I really don't remember Addy being as small as Parker! He is so tiny & precious! Addy got very upset when Parker cried. Even if he whimpered she would get a sad face and tears would just stream down her face. It broke my heart! Nothing would soothe her when he was crying. We had to leave the room several times! Erin is doing very well & she looks great! I am pretty sure I looked like hell one week after having Addy!
On the way home from Erin's a car turned in front of me into a parking lot & I came so close to having an accident! I was so upset that I went back & found the car. There was an elderly lady walking towards the grocery store, so I pulled up in front of her & rolled my window down. I told her that she had just pulled in front of me & that my baby was in the backseat! She apologized a couple of times & I drove off still upset. That was a first for me & don't think i would have reacted that way if Addy hadn't been in the vehicle.
Wednesday - Had lunch at the Piccadilly - YUM (yes, I had the square fish)! Me, mom, Aimee & Addy went to the mall shopping & to see Santa (again). We finally found the Carter's brand Kick-Proof socks! Addy can never keep socks on, until now! These socks are great! They even stay on her feet overnight :)
Friday - Me & Addy went to Chase & saw all of my favorite people! Addy was very good & let everyone hold her. After our visit at Chase we met up with some more folks at Applebee's. I miss everyone so much :(
Saturday - Blake came over. We all went to see Parker again.

Addison met Santa today! I wish we could have gotten more than one pose. There was a great shot of her looking up at him :) The one and only pose that we did get turned out cute.

Happy Thanksgiving

We have so much to be thankful for this year. The Lord blessed us with our precious Addison. She is happy, healthy & growing into a big girl. We are also thankful that Blake was presented with this wonderful job opportunity that allows me to stay home with Addison. It's the greatest 'job' ever! Our friends & families are all doing well & we cherish them more than they will ever know. It's been a great year!

Yesterday, me & Addy went to Beaumont shopping with Karen, Billy & Aunt Katie! Addison did fantastic & never fussed! She loves watching people (like her momma)!

Today, we had Thanksgiving dinner at our house. Karen brought over some food & I made a couple of things (deviled eggs & spinach dip).

Of course, we ended up with enough food to feed all of Texas! I can't wait to go home Sunday & eat some of my mom's Thanksgiving food! I wish that we could have went home for Thanksgiving, but everyone understands that we may not make it for every holiday. After dinner we went for a walk to a little park that isn't too far from our house. It doesn't have climbing toys like a kid park. It's more like a 'let's sit here & enjoy the day' park with benches & flower beds & a gazebo. It's already decorated for Christmas with lights, etc, so we will have to go by there one night while it's dark to see it lit up all pretty.

When we got back home it was time to put up the Christmas tree. Blake did most of it & did a GREAT job! Tomorrow we will put up a few lights outside & maybe go do a little shopping.
