31 week 4d ultrasound

We had the 4d ultrasound on Monday 3/3 and Addison was not very cooperative - again. I don't think she is going to like taking pics very much! She weighs approx 3lbs 12oz *GASP* and is in the 55th percentile now.

*29 weeks 6 days*

Today was my 30 week check-up. Everything is fine & Addison's heartbeat was 141 bpm. She has been moving all day today. I have been very moody this week. Luckily, when I feel her move it brings a smile to my face & warmth to my heart. Must be all of the hormones, etc making me unpleasant. *GASP* I know - me unpleasant!

Work Baby Shower

Today was my Diaper Shower at work. Even though I knew what to expect (diapers, duh) it was so much fun! I work with some great people & appreciate their generosity! As soon as I got home I opened a package of the Newborn size diapers - Blake and I inspected the tiny diaper - then returned it to the package! Oh what fun!

27 weeks 4 days

Today was my scheduled Gestational Diabetes 1 hour test, ultrasound & appt with Dr. Lee. 1st - must have blood drawn prior to drinking glucola (sweet drink). The lab tech tried my right arm & blew a vein, so then over to the left arm & it was successful. Now I have 5 minutes to drink the glucola. Not too bad.

Back out to the waiting room I go to wait exactly one hour. Tick Tock.... one hour later I go back to have my blood drawn again. So far, so good - right?? Well, not really. Now I go for the ultrasound. About 15 minutes into the ultrasound I get very sick & almost pass out. I roll over on my left side to get all of my circulation flowing freely again and soon feel better.

Next we are off to see Dr. Lee. While waiting in the exam room the nurse comes in to give me bad news. I failed the 1 hour test and must take the 3 hour - ugh!!! Then Dr. Lee arrives & reports that Addison is doing great. She weighs 2.7lbs & is in the 50th percentile. He offered encouragement about the Gestational Diabetes test by telling me that 15% of women who fail the 1 hour test will also fail the 3 hour test. I am optimistic, but also prepared to make any changes necessary to make sure my baby is as healthy as possible!

3rd Trimester

As I enter my 3rd trimester, I realize how close I am to holding Addison in my arms & kissing her all over. Everyday she makes me laugh. Her movements are out of control at times! The last few days I have felt her in two different places at one time. You know what that means?? She is growing into a big girl! In the mornings, mostly on weekends, she is my alarm clock & doesn't allow me to sleep in very long. Great - just what we need - another alarm clock in addition to Buddy. He is going to be a wonderful big brother. I have no worries about what his reaction will be when we bring Addison home.
