Climbing & stuff

The last couple of days I've been spending more time with our new Logitech Harmony remote than I should! Now I know why the sales guy at Best Buy suggested we purchase the Geek Squad option to come over & set it up for us. After spending that much on a remote, I figure between Blake & I we could figure it out. Well, it's mostly been me. Typical, I do all the work & Blake just enjoys the results :) I keed, I keed! Anyway, the remote is awesome, incredible, worth every penny! It has combined our 3 remotes into ONE!

Addison is climbing on EVERYTHING! I turn my back for one second & she is sitting on the kitchen table, standing on the ottoman, climbing on any toy or box that is more than 6 inches high. I think my heart has stopped a couple of times the last 2 weeks.
This is how our chairs stay until it's time to eat!

She's also a great actress! Yesterday, I put her in the crib for a nap & a few minutes later she started to cry. So, I walked over to check & she had her leg through the crib slats....WELL, as soon as she saw me, the biggest smile came on her face & she started to giggle & REMOVE her leg from the crib slats! WOW!

She cracks me up!

Addy doesn't have much hair, but it sure is a MESS in the mornings!

I think she knew her hair was a mess & didn't want her pic taken!

Memaw bought this outfit for Addy. She LOVED the skirt/tutu!

It's almost Halloween! This year our little monkey will be dressing as a monkey! I found this costume at Walmart for less than $20! Much better than the cupcake costume at PBK for $70! Seriously, do people really spend $70 for a Halloween costume?

MDO & Pictures

Addison had a good day at MDO yesterday. She ate, played, napped & played some more! The drop-off & pick-up still had a few tears, but not like the first day. I'm praying it just keeps getting better for her.

Dallas Weekend

I've officially sold the Xterra! Well, it was already sold, but my sister finally has possession of the vehicle! Last Thursday, Addy & I drove to Louisiana, so we could be there super early Friday morning to do the paperwork. Blake drove the Xterra when he got off work. We managed to get everything done Friday morning & then we were off to Dallas for UFC 103.

Friday afternoon we met Erin, Danny & Parker at the Dallas Convention Center for the UFC weigh-ins. Afterwards, Erin & family went to her in-laws & we went to our hotel. I highly recommend the Hyatt Summerfield Suites on Harry Hines Blvd. The hotel was in a great location, full amenities, secured parking garage, etc. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about was the bathtub, but I'm still not complaining.

On Saturday, we met up with everyone again for brunch at Bread Winners. Then Blake & Danny were off to stalk the fighters! While they spent the day at UFC the rest of us went to the Dallas Aquarium & a Pirate Festival. The aquarium was nice, but Addy will enjoy it more when she is a little older.

Mother's Day Out: Part II

When I went to pick up Addison today, she was standing across the room holding her blanky while watching the other babies. As soon as I got her attention that bottom lip poked out & she came running over to me. Awwww! Casey said that she didn't interact much with the others, but she played solo, ate & napped just fine. She also cried off & on, but from what I heard some other babies did the same thing. There are 4 girls & 1 boy in Addison's room. Of course, there is another little girl named Addison, but it's spelled differently - Addyson or something like that.

Mother's Day Out

Addison is at MDO today! I only heard a little whimper when I left her this morning! Crazy me forgot her blanky, so I had to come home & get it. When I got back I peeked in the room & saw Casey (toddler leader) holding Addison while she watched the other babies play. We didn't let Addison see me & I carefully handed blanky around the corner! I can't wait to hear how the FIRST day went! I'm watching the clock & ready to go get her :)

Here are a few professional wedding pictures from Kristal Joy's wedding in June. She was such a beautiful bride!

Baby Blues

This morning I started cramping & spotting, so I called the dr to see about getting checked. I took another pregnancy test while there & it came out negative. It looks like my expensive digital test gave us a FALSE POSITIVE last Saturday! I don't know anyone that has ever gotten a false positive! Just my luck I guess! After the exam the dr said that he believes the test was faulty & I was never pregnant. I'm relieved if this is truly the case, because at least it wasn't a miscarriage. The bloodwork will be back on Thursday, but I don't expect it will tell us anything we don't already know.

Blake & I are sad, but know it will happen eventually!

Houston Trip + BIG NEWS

BIG NEWS FIRST

According to the digital pregnancy test I took last night.... I'm PREGNANT!Addison is going to be a BIG SISTER! Blake & I are very excited about having another baby. I'm really not sure what we are getting ourselves into, but we are about to find out!

We had a great time on our Houston trip this weekend. First stop - Children's Museum. Addy had so much fun at the museum. There's a ton of things for kids of all ages to do & see. One level is setup like a little town with a bank, grocery store, diner, etc. The kids pretend to run the town & it's so funny to watch them act out different tasks. We spent the most time in the Tot Spot for babies 2 and under.

Tea Party

She found a puppy to examine

When it came time to put the stethescope on she was DONE!

Next it was off to the Astros game! We didn't make it through the whole game, but half was better than none!

On Saturday it was time for shopping. Blake was in heaven when we found the Adidas store in the Galleria!

Addy got a nice loot

Just what she needs....another pair of shoes!
